MinxFlash allows you to flash new firmware into your Pioneer DVR model DVDburner, unlocking such capability as

Region Free Zoning
12X reading (currently limited to 2X when reading DVD video disks)
burning of generic media at the maximum speed of the burner

(Exact features to be unlocked depend on burner model and firmware)

MinxFlash assembles all known firmware for Pioneer DVR DVD burners, uses a great little command utility called DVRFlash (written by Agent Smith et al.), and wraps it all up in a nice and easy GUI interface. It does error checking and checksum matching of firmware to make sure the correct and uncorrupted firmware is flashed into your burner.

It supports the following Pioneer DVR drives ONLY:

104, A04, 105, A05, 106, A06, 106D, A06D, 107, 107D, 108, A08, A08D, 108D

Hopefully the 109/A09 is coming soon...

How to use

1) Launch MinxFlash

2) If a suitable Pioneer DVR burner shows up in the list, select it

3) A list of suitable firmare will appear, with a description. Select the one you want.

4) Click the Flash button. That's it!

It is very important that you do not interrupt the flasher or quit the application until the flashing is complete. Once complete, your burner is now ready to use with its newly upgraded capability!

This software requires OSX.
